Book Us For What?
Nottingham School of Samba has been performing for nearly 20 years making us one of the oldest groups in the UK and with up to 30 drummers and dancers one of the largest. We've played at huge variety of events including festivals, parades, wedding receptions, pubs, motor shows, corporate events, parties, nightclubs, footbal matches, nightclubs, fun days... The list goes on! If you can think of an event then there is no doubt we have performed for it!

We have also run workshops at all these types of events as well as in schools, colleges, universities and as part of staff training days. Our leaders are insured, CRB checked and can work with beginners picking up a drum for the first time through to experienced percussionists looking for a taste of Brazilian percussion.

Book Us How?
We have a set fee based on an hour long performance by 20+ drummers and dancers, but we know that every event is unique, so we can be flexible on the price, the number of drummers and where and how long you'd like us to play for. Please get in touch with Jonathan for more information:

Email: Or Tel:07475 364764

(In the case of registered charities and not-for-profit organisations we often charge a nominal fee to cover expenses though we are limited to the number of bookings of this nature that we can take each year)

Book Us When?
Organising a large group of drummers can take some time; so the more notice we have the better. We are extremely busy during the outdoor season (April to September) so try to get in touch as soon as possible. If only it is so we can pencil dates into the diary! It is not unusual to be booked anywhere up to a year in advance so drop us a line!

We try to only have one performance every two weeks but we are proving to be more and more popular. See the table below to see how many performances we have done over the last couple of years:

Year Performances
2014* 36
2013 35
2012 36
2011 33

2014* So far as of 16/08/14.

We are now taking bookings for 2015! Check out our See Us page for more details.

Booking us for workshops is the same as for performances, though we don't often need as much notice. Depending on group size we will provide one leader and assistants. Give us a call and we can tailor the workshop for you; anything from a fun introduction to drumming, to something leading to a performance!
